About TPGY

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I can’t believe I did this to be honest. Creating my own business with only a high school diploma and my own research to rely on. But let me tell you, it is amazing!

By not taking the normal way of life I am spending my deciding my own work hours, travelling multiple times a year and taking amazing chances!

Hello, I am Louisa, 18 years old and I am taking my second gap year.

In 2016 I graduated from high school. In september I studied accountancy and quit in October. Yes that’s right, I only went to college for a month. After that I spend my time working at a bakery in a supermarket. In December I decided I wanted to use my time to do something different and completely out of my comfort zone: I became an au pair.

For 3 months I lived in Scotland, running a household and taking care of three children while juggling a home course next to it.

I returned home in April, leaving for Ireland shortly after. I spend a week there, came back home and left again. This time a week to Croatia and a week Italy. I still have a surf camp in France planned, which will be my 5th country this year. Not to mention the weekends to Germany! And I wouldn’t have been able to do that if I went to college.

Now the big question, how am I still not broke? I have had a lot of jobs but it was just not for me anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I love part-time jobs. You can make a lot of money and it gets you out of the house. Human contact and focusing on work is great! But it became more difficult to go on spontaneous trips.

And then I found Michelle. Michelle Schroeder-Gardner is the author behind Making Sence Of Cents, a personal finance and lifestyle blog. Travelling in an RV and making a lot of money online, she is living the life.

Luckily for us, she is sharing her secret. I binge-read (is that a thing?) her blog posts, took her course and fell in love with blogging.

Now I write about how to adult, social media marketing, becoming succesful and living life on your own terms. Here you can find tips and tricks about money, blogging, planning and much more!

Let’s get to work!

Live boldly, push yourself & don’t settle
